059: Day 72: June 19: Casper WY with Louise

Today was a great day in Casper. It was hot and windy and there are grass pollen and high wind gust warnings, but Christine and I had a full day with Louise and Sampson. This was such a blessing. It will end tomorrow when Louise and Sampson must drive back to Breckenridge CO to work again on Monday and we shall continue on our journey.
We were able to make several arrangements in terms of the next couple of days AND also stop at Walmart, the nation's shop, to pick up a couple of things.
The most important is that Christine and I looked at the weather forecast and saw strong headwinds for the next couple of days. We still have about 220 miles before the Rockies and there are very few services available. So, we decided to rent a UHaul truck for the first 200 miles to Dubois. We shall be driving to Dubois tomorrow afternoon.
We also had to make decisions based on the drive from Jackson Wyoming to West Yellowstone Montana. We already mentioned that the initial options would not work for our bikes and we decided to drive this section as well. We should know by Monday whether there would be a UHaul-truck available or whether we shall just take a shuttle and be done with it. One thing we established is that Yellowstone National Park is overflowing and it would be very slow to drive through there.
We saw this eatery while driving from one store to the other.
This is one of the most beautiful Starbucks I have seen. I dedicate this photo to Marius with whom I had so many enjoyable early morning coffees in DC while we were still working.
We drove up Casper Mountain and enjoyed the views
as well as the flowers.
Many of the electricity distribution boxes have been painted. This one caught the eye immediately.
Louise caught up with the Sinclair Dino before
we drove to the Little Shop of Burgers. What an interesting place where all decorations are from horror movies.
We particularly liked the Menu and almost tried the Sticky Icky.
In between we had time with Sampson.
There are many statues in central Casper,
many are based on the part horses played in the past.
This beautiful statue is in front of the public library.
The main street also had a facelift with a new layout design.
This was evening over the North Platte River behind our hotel.  A beautiful end to a beautiful day. Thanks to God.
